Vinyl Mastering

Vinyl is an analogue format with a unique sound all of its own and the best sounding records are cut from specific vinyl masters. To minimise distortion, ensure faithful tracking and avoid the many pitfalls of a transfer to lacquer, we recommend mastering for vinyl by engineers with first hand experience of cutting.

When a side is long, we must lower the level so that the grooves fit and a very loud master means that the cutting system cannot space the grooves efficiently. For that reason, our vinyl masters have less limiting than those for digital. Delivered as a stereo wav file.

If you require cutting too, please ensure your tracks are mastered for vinyl first.
